Your team
You will be part of the Language Services Division in the Directorate General Communications. Our Division has around 100 staff providing translation, editing, proofreading, and language technology and terminology services in all EU languages, as well as offering advice on linguistic matters. Our work covers a wide range of texts for expert audiences and the general public alike, and includes translating multilingual content for our website with the aim of making the ECB’s work accessible to non-expert readers.
You will work closely with others in our Directorate General as part of cross-divisional teams handling strategic communication projects or urgent tasks.

Further information
Initial traineeship of six months, with a possible extension to up to 12 months in total, subject to performance and budget. The start date of the traineeship is expected to be in early 2026.

You are required to provide a transcript of the university courses you have taken in English to Czech translation (together with the corresponding grades) as part of your application.
Application and selection process
The recruitment process for this position will include a remote written exercise in the pre-selection phase and – if you are invited to participate in the subsequent selection phase – an online interview.
