Senior Software Engineer, Front End (m/w/d)

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 2 years of experience with Typescript, front-end and user interface development.
• 2 years experience working on web applications.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• Experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in Full-Stack development.
• Experience in UI Design.

In this role, you will dive deep into user workflows to define sustainable and scalable solutions for delivering design system information.

Responsibilities

• Define the future of user interaction for Carbon, Google's design system management platform.
• Optimize existing web front end while developing the technical strategy to meet our users, designers, and engineers in-context within their existing tools (e.g., Figma and Cider).
• Contribute to the implementation, guide technical strategy and directly build the future of our front-end landscape, including our move toward AI-driven capabilities.
• Reduce complexity, accelerate user flow, and lead a technical environment through effective collaboration.
