(Senior) Project Manager Strategic Development China * (m/w/d)

In this strategic key position, you will shape the future direction of our company in one of the most important growth markets worldwide. You will work closely with regional and global decision makers and take on a role with direct impact on the long term development of the organization.

As the Senior Project Manager Strategic Development China (m/w/d), you will be responsible for developing and continuously refining our corporate and business strategies in the Chinese market. You will support the implementation and act as a central interface between the China organization and the global headquarters.

Your Contribution

• Further develop the corporate and market strategy for China, including analysis of relevant trends, competitive landscapes, and technological developments
• Derive strategic options and recommendations for local and global management
• Plan, manage, and execute strategic initiatives to support corporate objectives in the Chinese market
• Lead the annual strategic planning process for the China region, ensuring alignment with global stakeholders
• Support business units in developing successful strategies for existing and new market segments
• Contribute to the development of regional M&A strategies in close collaboration with the global M&A team
• Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary project teams and manage external consulting partners
• Ensure effective stakeholder management between the China organization and global functions

Your Profile

• Degree in a technical or natural science discipline (e.g., engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science); MBA preferred
• Several years of experience in strategy development, corporate development, or management consulting, with exposure to the Chinese market
• Strong analytical skills and experience managing complex strategic projects
• Proven intercultural experience and ability to work effectively across diverse cultural contexts
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in intercultural environments
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and lead cross functional teams
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
