Manager of Data Insights and Reporting (x|f|m) - On site (m/w/d)

We are looking for a Manager of Commercial Data Analytics (x|f|m) for the Commercial Excellence Intelligence & Analytics team based in Göttingen (Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH) who will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of analysts responsible for delivering data-driven insights to support our global commercial organization. You will bring a balance of deep technical skills in advanced analytics, leadership expertise, and a passion for continuous learning.
As a hands-on leader, you will guide your team to develop robust analytics solutions leveraging SQL, Python, PySpark, Snowflake, SAP, SFDC, and Tableau, as well as drive predictive analytics. You will also play a key role in managing complex stakeholder relationships, driving alignment on strategic priorities, and ensuring the delivery of impactful outcomes.
Your tasks

• Oversee end-to-end commercial reporting, including design & development of global reporting suite delivering key operational and commercial metrics
• Lead a team of analysts, providing clear direction, mentorship, and training, keeping the team ahead of industry trends and technological advancements
• Drive the transition to cloud-based analytics platforms, primarily leveraging Snowflake, Tableau, SAP HANA and other relevant systems, improving automation and UX
• Champion digital transformation initiatives within the sales organization to drive productivity, reduce manual efforts, and cultivate a future-ready, data-driven culture that promotes agility and informed decision-making
• Establish strong relationships and become a trusted partner to sales leadership, communicating findings, insights, and results clearly, concisely, and effectively to senior management
• Collaborate closely with commercial leaders, finance, IT, and operations teams to understand and streamline reporting requirements
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the reporting infrastructure and analytics practices are state-of-the-art and aligned with business objectives
• Establish and maintain robust data governance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reports. Identify issues and collaborate cross-functionally in addressing root-causes

Your qualifications

• You have a degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Statistics or a related field
• Several years of experience in commercial reporting, analytics, or business intelligence, with some years in a management or leadership role
• Advanced proficiency with Snowflake, SQL, Python, SAP BW, SAP HANA and experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions
• Strong knowledge of business intelligence and visualization tools (Tableau and Streamlit preferred). Thorough understanding of Salesforce objects, data/system interdependencies, L2O and O2C processes is essential
• Proven experience building and managing high-performing analytics teams, with a track record of elevating team capabilities
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams
• Prior experience in life sciences, biotech, pharma or related industries is highly preferred but not required
