With several sites across Germany , the company fosters a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, innovation, and scientific curiosity. They are now searching for a Field Service Engineer - Plasma Technologies to add to their growing team of specialists!

Tasks

• Advise customers as a technical specialist to resolve issues related to system and process engineering.
• Prevent production interruptions by implementing preventive maintenance, managing spare-part inventories and driving modernization measures.
• Inspect and record safety-critical installations, ensuring all documentation meets the relevant standards.
• Assist with service order workflows by providing technical input for quotations and proposals.
• Commission equipment on-site and guarantee reliable, trouble-free operation at customer locations.
• Deliver application training and provide hands-on support so customers can use systems efficiently.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customer queries, coordinating solutions with internal teams to deliver the best outcome.

Profile

• Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, or equivalent vocational qualification (e.g., state-certified technician). Comparable professional experience in technical field service is also acceptable.
• Preferably experienced with vacuum and plasma technologies.
• Familiarity with PLCs, VPD, control electronics, sensors, automation and robot handling is a plus.
• Comfortable using digital tools (service apps, ticketing and ERP systems) as part of daily work.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
• Demonstrates commitment, creativity and adaptability.
• Customer-focused, independent worker with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Willingness to travel regularly and to represent the company professionally in an international environment.
