Electronic Hardware Engineer bei Airbus (m/w/d)

Generation and analysis of model requirements and specifications Conception of wind tunnel models or model components as well as test and calibration assemblies (Catia V5) in coordination with relevant stakeholders both inside and outside of aerodynamics Creation of documentation including stress reports and drawings Close coordination and collaboration with wind tunnel model suppliers in all phases of the model fabrication to ensure manufacturability of all designed parts and quality standards Model acceptance at supplier premises Preparation of geometries for in-house 3D print Model fabrication using in-house 3D print Hands-on Integration, instrumentation and calibration of wind tunnel models in the aero lab Contribution to test preparation Contribution to wind tunnel test execution in external wind tunnel facilities Personal requirements: Hands-on attitude in the AeroLab and during wind tunnel tests as well as experience in model handling Evident ability to learn and grow fast Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Willingness to travel (3x per year 1-4 weeks, destinations are Germany, the Netherlands, France and USA) Disabled applicants with equal qualifications will be given special consideration.

• Practical training in the crafts sector and Master Degree or state-certified technical engineer with longterm experience is mandatory
• At least 3 years of experience in design, including wind tunnel models are necessary
• Experience in conducting wind tunnel tests is an asset
• Thorough knowledge about manufacturing methods typically used for wind tunnel models this includes metal milling, turning, erosion
• 3D print is required
• knowledge about and experience in the application of measurement technology typically used in the wind tunnel test environment is needed
• knowledge in strength calculations, electrical engineering should be available
