Your Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst with a solid understanding of software development, you design data-driven solutions that not only uncover patterns in complex datasets but also create technical concepts that streamline analysis workflows. Drawing on parametric data generated in production of precision measurement instruments, you ensure that insights are grounded in high-quality, real-world metrics. You navigate effortlessly between analytical thinking and technical implementation, playing a key role in data-based decision-making and driving innovation in manufacturing environments.
Your Responsibilities in Detail
Data Analysis & Pattern Recognition:

Perform exploratory data analyses to identify relevant patterns, anomalies, and correlations

• Derive hypotheses for root cause investigations and support evidence-based decision-making
• Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques for problem-solving and forecasting

Design of Analytical Tools & Frameworks

• Designs modular tools and structured approaches to simplify and automate analytical workflows
• Evaluate existing analytics approaches and identify opportunities for improvement
• Draft concept papers for introducing new analysis strategies, including feasibility assessments

Technical Implementation & Cross-Team Collaboration

• Design and build data pipelines for efficient processing of large data volumes
• Develop prototypes (PoC) and lightweight applications (e.g. dashboards) to present insights
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Development, and Contract Manufactures to ensure holistic analytics processes

Your Qualifications

• Education & Experience:
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field
• Strong experience in data analytics, complemented by hands-on software development skills (e.g. Python, SQL, Git, APIs)
• Very good knowledge in English and German written and spoken

Core Competencies

• Solid understanding of database structures, data modeling, and ETL workflows
• Experience with common analytics and BI tools (e.g. Tibco Spotfire, Power BI)
• Ability to draft technical documentation and analytical concepts

Soft Skills

• Sharp analytical and conceptual thinking
• Creativity, initiative, and a structured way of working
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
